Tenille Tellman – Registered Massage Therapist
A former desk worker and self-proclaimed “stress junkie”, Tenille has committed her life to balanced self-care and wellness for the past seven years.
A graduate of BC’s original 3,000 hour Registered Massage Therapy program, Tenille has extensive training in therapeutic massage modalities and promotes a patient-centered care model in her work.
Tenille has a special interest in helping clients manage chronic pain, depression, anxiety and autoimmune conditions. She has treated patients throughout complex injury rehabilitation, complicated pregnancies, sports training, neurologic conditions and everything in between.
Her treatment approach blends myofascial release, deep tissue, trigger point pressure release and some relaxation techniques, although all appointments are customized to client preference and need. She also utilizes Muscle Energy, Joint Mobilization or other orthopaedic release techniques for structural or postural concerns. She has post-graduate training in advanced myofascial release, osteopathic techniques, functional fitness/movement, pre and post-natal yoga instruction, Reiki (Level 2), trauma-informed yoga instruction and most recently, advanced Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Massage. She is committed to professional / personal development, and has taken many complimentary courses over the years.
Tenille is also a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance (U.S.), a GROOVE dance facilitator with the World GROOVE Movement, a group fitness instructor and an Advanced Teacher of Therapeutic Yoga through the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She loves educating clients on suitable home care options, whether it is a simple stretch or a customized therapeutic yoga session.
She is also a Global Ambassador for the World Body Image Movement and hosts workshops on self-care, self-massage and more.
Relatively new to Fort McMurray, Tenille is keen to share the wisdom of both Western and Eastern health models with the community.
