Yoga not only helped Tenille work through postural issues and pain associated with injuries and a desk job, yoga transformed her life, aiding in recovery from burnout, abuse and trauma. In 2014, she became ready to hold space for others on their own journeys.
Tenille benefitted from a highly traditional Yoga Teacher Training with the Brahmanda School of Yoga in Victoria, BC. She continued with an advanced mentorship with her lead instructor, which included a research project and the development of a self-massage / ball rolling class to hydrate and mobilize myofascia.
A lifelong learner, Tenille then branched into countless hours of continuing education and teacher development trainings in Yoga Philosophy, Yoga Nidra, Trauma Sensitive Instruction, Ayurveda, Vinyasa, Neuroplasticity, Chair Yoga, Ages 50+, Mental Health and Pre/Post Natal Yoga. Tenille has completed all course requirements for Advanced Teacher of Therapeutic Yoga designation with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) and is an IAYT Yoga Therapist candidate. She is also registered with the Yoga Alliance in the U.S.
Tenille is a teacher of GROOVE dance and a former member of a belly dance performance troupe. She is a Global Ambassador for the World Body Image Movement, a Reiki Practitioner and a self care presenter.
New to Fort McMurray, Tenille is thrilled to find the community at Higher Health Yoga and looks forward to the sharing of knowledge that occurs within the space.
