Chris came to Fort McMurray in the winter of 2006 after completing the 3000 hour massage therapy program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Vancouver. He began working in a local gym as a personal trainer and RMT before moving to the Acupuncture, Physiotherapy and Massage Centre with Judy Moynihan.
Chris is an avid cyclist both road and mountain biking along with many other activities. He recently completed the BC Bike Race and competed in the Canadian Death Race over the last couple of years. Being active is a vital part of his life and brings that same message to every treatment to help his patients attain a better quality of life through better form and function.
Whether you are an athlete or just walk around the block, he will help you look at yourself from a different perspective and see how slight modifications in posture or movement can improve your daily activities. This will be achieved with various exercises and stretches plus postural corrections that each person can incorporate into their daily routines.
Chris's roll is to be a part of the healing process to get you back on your feet and by no means to be the absolute cure. Through education and awareness each patient will gain a better understanding of how their body moves through space and how to avoid any further injury or regain their pre-injury state.
Each patient presents with many different conditions and his approach to each person is reflected in his patience and understanding that everyone is special and will take the time to care for each accordingly.
