Head Yoga Instructor
Kaitlin moved to Fort McMurray in September 2010 from Vancouver Island, BC. She started doing yoga over 8 years ago in university and saw how powerfully life changing Yoga became in helping manage daily physical and mental stress as well as increasing overall happiness and wellbeing. Acknowledging the lack of a strong yoga community, she decided to complete her 500 hour Yoga Instructors Training in June of 2012 to help reach out and provide the healing benefits of Yoga. She believes in a daily yoga practice to support a strong body, mind and soul. Kaitlin’s training is Hatha and Iyengar based (Moksha certified instructor) and as a new instructor she is continually learning and developing her skills.
Kaitlin’s yoga instruction is rooted in her passion for lifelong health and happiness. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with her degree in Human Kinetics and graduated as a CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist in 2009. Kaitlin has been working with chronic illness management, rehabilitative programs as well athletics for the past 6 years in a variety of settings.
She is also in the process of completing her diploma in Natural Health from the Alternative Medicine College of Canada to provide more well rounded care to her clients in nutrition, healthy home practices and overall holistic lifestyle choices. As a happy hippy at heart, Kaitlin takes great pride in helping others find natural health and balance in their lives in a manner that is both inspiring and sustainable.
